Hawai’i Environmental Education Alliance
HEEA has supported informal, formal, and non-formal training in environmental education (EE) throughout the islands.
Inspiring and empowering educators with the best practices of EE with the guidance of community partnerships and the North American Association of Environmental Educators (NAAEE). HEEA will continue to inspire and empower educators to develop and integrate practices that inform and engage island communities that values Hawaii’s uniqueness and lives sustainably.

Welcome Partners
The Hawaii Environmental Education Alliance (HEEA) is a network of professionals, students, and volunteers working to spread awareness about environmental literacy to help develop a community that understands Hawaii’s uniqueness and lives sustainably.
HEEA partners have a strong connection to the field of environmental education through work, volunteering, and/or a personal commitment. Partners work to promote environmental education, provide places to learn outside, provide environmental education, and support the work of environmental educators. HEEA is the state affiliate of the North American Association for Environmental Education and, as such, HEEA partners voluntarily agree to the NAAEE code of conduct.

HEEA PARTNERS
Partners will benefit from advertising, reduced rates on HEEA sponsored professional development opportunities, reduced rates for HEEA conferences, the HEEA network and calendar, discounts offered by other HEEA partners and much more. - Professional – $ 25.00 annually
Any individual working in the field related to environmental education (EE). The majority of HEEA partners are in this category. This category includes preK-12 teachers, non-traditional educators, natural resource professionals, etc.
- Donor Partner- $ 100.00 annually
An individual wishing to support HEEA by joining at a donor-level rate.
- Student: $ 20.00 annually
An individual enrolled in a full-time, post-secondary degree program in EE or a related field. Student partnership rate valid for one-year after graduation.
- Retired: $ 20.00 annually
An individual who has retired from active employment in EE or a related field.
- Life Member: $ 500.00 one time gift
An individual wishing to support HEEA and secure partner benefits for the long term.
- Student in-kind
An individual enrolled in elementary or secondary school, full-time, post-secondary degree program in EE or a related field who contributes 50 hours of service annually with HEEA partner organizations relating to the HEEA mission and vision and documents service as described by the administrator.
- Professional or Retired In-kind Partner
An individual working full time or part time in EE or or a related field or retired who contributes 50 hours of service annually for HEEA partner organizations relating to the HEEA mission and vision and documents service as described by the administrator.
- Partner Nonprofit – $75 annually
An educational institution or non-profit organization whose objectives are consistent with those of HEEA.
- Partner School In-Kind – 75 hours of service annually
An educational institution or non-profit organization whose objectives are consistent with those of HEEA. Organizations will complete service for paying partner organizations.
- Partner Government – $150.00 annually
A government agency whose objectives are consistent with those of HEEA.
- Corporate Small – $125.00 annually
A small for-profit organization/institution with less than 300 employees
- Corporate Large – $250.00 annually
A large for-profit organization/institution with more than 300 employees
